Why Ethereum?
Ethereum occupies the middle ground: faster than Bitcoin, more widely held than Monero. Since the transition to proof-of-stake, Ethereum's energy consumption dropped by over 99%, which matters to users who consider environmental impact in their purchasing decisions.
Ethereum's smart contract ecosystem also means many users already hold ETH in wallets they use daily for DeFi, NFTs, or other applications. Adding ETH as a payment option means these users can pay without converting to another currency first.
Why Monero?
This is the one that raises eyebrows. Monero is a privacy coin — transactions are private by default, meaning neither the sender, receiver, nor amount is visible on the public blockchain. Critics associate this with illicit activity. We see it differently.
Financial privacy is a right, not a red flag. When you pay cash at a shop, no one tracks the transaction. Monero extends this property to digital payments. For users who run websites in sensitive niches — journalism, activism, health, legal services — the ability to pay for tools without creating a traceable financial record is genuinely valuable.
Monero also has the lowest transaction fees of any cryptocurrency we accept — typically under one penny. For a subscription service, this means virtually zero payment processing overhead.
How It Works Technically
We use NOWPayments as our crypto payment processor. When you click "Pay with Crypto" on our pricing page, NOWPayments generates a unique payment address. You send the exact amount from your wallet. Once the blockchain confirms the transaction, NOWPayments notifies our server via an IPN (Instant Payment Notification) webhook, and your subscription activates automatically.
The exchange rate is locked at the moment of checkout, so you know exactly how much crypto you are sending. There is no slippage or surprise at settlement.
What This Means for You
Whether you pay with GBP via Stripe or with Monero via NOWPayments, you get exactly the same product: AI content generation, keyword research, SERP tracking, SEO audit, and schema markup. The payment method does not affect your plan features, support access, or any other aspect of the service.
